Overall though, one has to wonder why Alpha would ever craft this plan since Gamma getting in tight with the enemy would surely mean she'd see Lydia was still alive. The Gamma/Aaron scenes played nicely since, every so often, you wondered who was playing who. She's the one who's going to know something's not right with her baby daddy's death. Hopefully, this all leads to a nice, heroic moment for Rosita, who's been on the sidelines due to baby and/or illness. Dante's smartest play would be to maybe fake a suicide scenario for Siddiq, since if he just took off everyone would know, for a fact, that Alpha was breaking the truce. As we head into the midseason finale, we'll have to see which side's sabotage will be the most crippling. Of course, Carol's Lydia plan, in which she showed off Alpha's alive-and-kicking daughter to Gamma, could still work, and send shockwaves through the Whisperers in some way. I don't know that we'll ever get a fuller explanation about this, or why Dante, who's clearly been living a better life as a non-Whisperer, would continue to be such a die-hard Alpha worshipper, but it's interesting to see this type of fanaticism happen on an episode where our heroes made some strides on the Cold War front after finding out that Alpha had lied to everyone about Lydia.
